BACK-TO-SCHOOL WITH PORTABLE POWER BANK/INVERTER FROM OMNICHARGE
Started as an Indiegogo project a few years back, Omnicharge set out to create the most versatile portable battery power bank in the marketplace. Designed as a unique multi-voltage, multi-port battery with a built-in inverter, the Omnicharge 20+ Professional Series Power Bank has made charging power-hungry devices easy when on the go. Capable of charging multiple devices simultaneously, it features a slim profile and weight in at 1.4 lb with a high powered 60-watt USB-C port, a 100 watt AC inverter, and a wireless 10 watt charging top where you can lay any Qi-enabled phones to get them charged quickly without using cables.
On the front panel, Omnicharge 20+ features two USB-A ports (# 5 and # 6 in the diagram below) that supply 5 volts of power at 3 Amp. Each USB-A port can support up to 18 watts of output and when paired with any Quick Charge 3.0 compatible devices, it will deliver more power to the device to finish charging faster. Located on the right side of the Omnicharge 20+, two separate power ports can be found with a USB-C port (# 8) that can output 60 watts of power, and a DC barrel port (# 7) that can be customized from 5 to 25 volts with up to 5 amp of power at a maximum of 100 watts. The specification on this barrel size connector is 5.5 x 2.1 mm. You can use a 45-watt USB-C wall charger to charge the Omnicharge 20+ in just under 3 hours.
The USB-C port on the Omni 20+ uses USB-PD. To figure out if your device is compatible, you will need to check whether the USB PD profiles on your device match up with the USB PD profiles on the Omnicharge. The Omni 20+ supports the following USB PD profiles: 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, 20V up to 3A
To check your device’s USB PD profile just check the power specifications on the back of your device’s charger.
Lastly located on the left side is the AC inverter (# 1). This is a full-size AC wall outlet in a portable power bank, providing 100 watts of power at 120 volts. No, you cannot plug in your toaster or hairdryer, but it is ideal for powering a laptop, camcorder, desk lamp, or even a small TV. Just check the power rating on the AC power supplies that come with these devices, and make sure you do not exceed the 100-watt maximum limit.
A handy onboard OLED display helps with monitoring all the data in real time. At a glance, you can see the current battery input and output of power in wattage, the DC barrel port in voltage, which port is activated, current temperature, total battery power in percentage, and warning indicators like overpower, extreme high temperature etc. In the menu, you can setup personal preferences like auto shut-off time, whether button lights are on or off, set temperature to display in Celsius or Fahrenheit, customize output voltage on the DC barrel port, and set the AC output mode.
Here are some of the typical number of time you can use the Omnicharge 20+ to charge your popular devices:
