Taken from a lecture by Freider Hochheim's LED Colorimetry for Cinema on October 4th, 2020 to IATSE local 873 ● Colour points that can't be produced through additive RGB mixing can still display a saturated colour by using traditional coloured gels. ● White Kelvin has a broad spectral distribution. Adding a saturated gel colour at 3200K or 5500K may achieve the colour point that additive mixing of RGBs may not (subtractive colour mixing).

Summer is rapidly approaching, and a reminder to all mobile field
operators to pay attention to storing tripods in a hot car. On a hot day, the
internal temperature of a car can reach 40 degree Celsius or more quickly.
Most tripods are vulnerable to this extreme heat and the lubricant can

HD SOURCE TIP OF THE WEEK: LAN VERSUS RS-422

On-set operators can easily misidentify the ports between RS-422 and LAN, as
they look very similar. This could be a costly mistake, as RS-422 cannot accept
POE. When plugging in for camera control with a POE on the wrong port,
damage could result to the main circuit board. Make sure to read the label
